Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

For our recent Vegas trip, we decided to stay at hotels we’ve never stayed at before. First two nights at Waldorf was very serene at night. The hotel does not have a casino, so you’ll get some peace and quiet if you’re looking for that. Conveniently located next to Aria and other neighboring hotels if you want to gamble or get more access to various restaurants.

First impression was great! The staff are all so accommodating and friendly. The lobby is located on the 23rd floor, which was a bit inconvenient for us since we stayed on 9th floor. You’ll need to take the elevators up to the 23rd floor to go back down every time you go in and out. There’s a pool with a cafe and a restaurant onsite for meals. We opted for in-room dining every day for breakfast and it was delicious! There’s also an unique tea party experience and a skybar with breathtaking views at night!

Perks & Benefits

• Welcome gift (chocolates) at check-in, acknowledging you, your travel agency and the Preferred Partner benefits
• Daily full breakfast for two people per bedroom, served in a hotel restaurant or through In-Room Dining - we got $60/day and opted for In-Room Dining both days!
• Hotel/Resort Credit (based on room category booked) enriching your clients’ stay with their choice of experience – from spa and dining to recreation:
Guest Rooms: USD 125 credit per stay, used this at the Skybar!
• $50 daily credit from Hilton Honors Diamond status
• Free premium WiFi from Hilton status
• Checked in at 1pm, checked out at 4pm

The highlight of the room was the bathroom! Modern design and semi-private tub. I couldn’t wait to bathe every night! :)

Daily Breakfast

$60 daily for two - we ordered room service both days!

Wake up to this

Day 2

Final Thoughts

Waldorf is a beautiful resort, conveniently located in the middle of the strip and perfect for couples that want to relax in a quiet hotel. There’s no casinos or multitude of restaurants, but you’ll definitely find what you need and the staff is beyond friendly! If you’re interested in booking, contact Sweet Vacay to make sure you’re getting all the perks listed if eligible!!

Waterfront Hotel: Pet-friendly staycation in Oakland

The perfect staycation with our furry baby. Located conveniently within walking distance to lots of outdoor dining options.

Lobby by the entrance

Pool area was quite empty and relaxing. Gave me retro motel vibes and liked that the area also overlooked the water.

Our furry baby enjoyed the stay!

Lounge area

My first impression was that it was a very quaint, cozy hotel. Definitely not a luxury hotel if that’s what you’re looking for, but not too shabby either.

The lounge area isn’t super spacious, but it leads to a large pool area outside by the water.

Cute room with a nice “sailing” vibe, but felt underwhelmed by the size of the room and bathroom was just an average motel bathroom. The two pros so far are decors and location.

Nice stroll by the waters for your furry babies!

Cute food truck for pets!

Great seafood spot with outdoor dining!

Take Me Back to Europe

Amidst all the craziness, I have to say I’m extremely thankful to be healthy and stuck at home with a job I enjoy, with the love of my life. My heart and prayers go out to all those that have suffered a loss in any way during this time.

This has been a very humbling experience for me. I was definitely guilty of living in the numbness of my blessed life before this all happened. As I reflect during this quiet season, I’m reminded to be thankful for the little things and to not take traveling for granted! Oh, how I miss traveling…I hope to never take another trip for grated again!

With all the spare time on my hands at home, I decided to look through my Europe trip footage from last year and finally put a Vlog together. Peep the two parts below! Travel back to the good old times with us! Probably one of my favorite trips of all time, but I’m still looking forward to many more favorites in the future!! :)

Denver in January

Happy 2019!! I love the new year, it gives people an excuse to reset their lives and think about the future. Although last year was challenging for me and a year I’d never forget, I’d like to use this new year as an excuse as well to look forward. If you know me, you know my love for travel and credit card points are real. This year, I’m making self-care a priority and focusing on the things that make me happy. Many of you know I really enjoy documenting my life and used to do monthly vlogs. I loved having something to look back on and relive my memories. I put my hobbies on pause last year and this year I’m changing that. My goal for this year includes going out of town once a month. For January, I traveled to Denver for the first time!! And I absolutely loved it! Super chill city with tons of breweries and fun bars. Unique dining experiences were the highlight of my trip - foodie blog to come! Enjoy my Denver Vlog! :)

Foodie Diary: Portland

I had the pleasure to travel to Portland twice within the last year and the one thing that stood out to me was definitely the food! I honestly think I'd visit again just to eat..spoken like a true foodie! :) Decided to do post for you guys in case anyone's thinking of traveling there this year!

Ways & Means Oyster House

This place is a bit far out from the city, but we really enjoyed it! We went quite early, so there weren't a lot of people. Music was great and I got to take my time with taking pictures! They also have happy hour ALL DAY!!

Blue Star Donuts

Portland is known to have famous donut shops and this place definitely beats Voodoo in my books. We got the creme brulee and original, got to give them the presentation!

Pine State Biscuits

We came here for breakfast one day and it did not disappoint! The portions are quite large, so I'd recommend sharing two dishes. We ended up sharing an order of Hash Ups and Biscuit and gravy.

Kachka

I don't normally look up Russian restaurants for dinner, but my friend insisted on trying this place and it definitely lived up to the hype! We had roughly 1-2 hours to kill before we could get seated, so we wandered around the neighboring bars while we waited. After we got seated, we pretty much ordered the whole menu...almost. We got to try their horseradish vodka, which was quite delightful! Anyway, enjoy our many course meal! :)
